Do I need to buy two copies of a duet book?
Only if you want to use your own stand. Our duets are published in score form so that two players can read off of one part.
Are the Duets for Two Like Instruments, such as Music for 2 Flutes or Music for 2 Violins, interchangeable?
No. If you want to combine instruments, try our Music for Two, Duets for 2 Different Instruments.
Are the parts for Music for Three and Music for Four interchangeable?
No. Even though the repertoire overlaps occasionally, the keys and parts are adjusted to fit the ensemble requirements. If you are trying to decide between the two series, you might think about buying Music for Four and supplementing the missing part with keyboard, piano or guitar.
Does Music for Two have a keyboard part?
No. If you want to have duos accompanied by piano you can use the Music for Three Series combination of: Part 1 + 2 + Keyboard/Guitar or Part 1 + 3 + Keyboard/Guitar
How many parts do I need to order for Music for Three or Music for Four?
This depends on what instrument you are playing with. For example a string quartet would need 4 Parts from Music for Four: Part 1 for Violin, Part 2 for Violin, Part 3 for Viola and Part 4 for Cello. The parts are sold separately in the Music for Three and Music for Four Series. There are also collections available for each series that include a complete set of parts.
Do you have music for piano trio?
Yes! You can use the Music for Three Series with Part 1 and Part 3 along with the keyboard part. You can also use Music for Three to make Piano Quartets and Music for Four for Piano Quartets and Piano Quintets.
